Tesso and Malone Valleys
The Tesso Valley takes its name from the two branches of the torrent that flows through it, and encompasses the towns of Coassolo Torinese and Monastero di Lanzo. The Malone Valley corresponds to the moraine amphitheatre overlooked by Corio, the only town forming this valley, which takes its name from the torrent that runs through it. This area was home to various craft activities, including stone and mineral working, and the weaving of hemp and cotton. The tradition of holidaying here enjoyed its golden age in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
