Monte Baron, among the peaks closest to Turin, offers a wide panorama over the Turin plain. Monte Baron is among the mountains closest to Turin. From the summit of Monte Baron, there is an excellent view: of the overlying Monte Musinè, the Castle of Rivoli, and the Turin plain. On clear days, the city’s tallest buildings and the Basilica of Superga are clearly recognizable.
How to visit the site
Once you reach the hamlet of Borgonuovo, Givoletto, you can find parking in Piazzale Vittorio Capello Partigiano. Going back on the road, after 100 meters on the right, a small road starts with a sign for Monte Baron; take it. This becomes a very comfortable mule track that goes towards the West-South-West; after a few turns, it heads towards the South-East and in a short time, you reach the summit of Monte Baron at 818 meters.
