Set among the mountains, the chapel combines elegant architecture, star-studded vaults, and frescoes of saints and votive paintings, offering visitors a journey through faith and artistic beauty.

Site overview

The chapel features a rectangular layout divided into three bays. Its gabled façade is fully plastered and displays corner pilasters supporting an entablature, on which a triangular pediment is placed.

The entrance features a centrally located double-leaf wooden door, framed by a stone surround, with a polylobed window above. The side elevations are finished in rough plaster and include rectangular windows. The structure is made of masonry.

The roof is a pitched timber structure with a clay-tile covering. The bell tower stands at the rear of the building, on the left when viewed from the façade. It has a quadrangular base, an exposed brick finish, and a belfry open on all sides. The bell tower is topped by a four-sided pyramidal roof with a reinforced-concrete structure and a clay-tile covering.

The building is in good condition. The walls of the hall are articulated by pilasters that support a tall entablature running around the entire perimeter of the building, on which the vaults rest.

The vertical surfaces and pilasters are plastered masonry, painted in faux marble. On the right side of the second bay is an ex-voto fresco, while the counter-façade wall has numerous small votive paintings. The vault surfaces are white plastered with gilded stars.

At the centre of the vault, the webs and groins are frescoes depicting saints.
